Edelman has announced a series of leadership promotions across its India operations, marking a strategic step in the firm’s continued growth journey.
Ashutosh Munshi, formerly Lead Advisor for Brand Marketing and Communications, has been appointed Lead Advisor, Integrated Communications. In this expanded role, he will spearhead the integration of Edelman’s practice areas, sector expertise, and solution capabilities to deliver holistic marketing solutions. With over 22 years at Edelman, Munshi has been instrumental in building the brand marketing practice and establishing the strategic planning and creative arms of the business in India.
Karishma Gupte has been promoted to India Brand Lead and also takes on the added responsibility of Head of the Delhi Office, in addition to her role as Food & Beverage Sector Lead. Over her seven-year tenure, she has led award-winning campaigns, expanded the F&B portfolio, and built high-performing teams.
Vasudevan Rangarajan, previously SVP – Public and Government Affairs (P&GA), has been named Managing Director, P&GA. With 13+ years at Edelman, Rangarajan has built a robust policy and government affairs team, offering strategic advice and stakeholder engagement for clients across sectors.
Pankaj Suri, who has led the People Team in India for over 13 years while also supporting APAC functions, will be relocating to Dubai as EVP, People Partner – Middle East. He hands over the India mandate to Ashutosh Thatte, who will be promoted to Vice President, People Partner, effective June 1, 2025. Thatte, a nine-year veteran at Edelman, has played a key role in shaping the firm’s culture and aligning talent strategy with business needs.
