EaseMyTrip, one of India’s leading online travel companies, has been awarded the Bathinda cluster mandate under the Punjab Government’s Mukh Mantri Tirth Yatra Yojana, a state-led initiative to promote faith tourism and provide safe, organized pilgrimage experiences for devotees.
As part of this mandate, EaseMyTrip will manage travel for over two lakh pilgrims journeying from Bathinda to Amritsar over the next year. The initiative underscores the company’s expanding footprint in government-led social welfare programs and its commitment to leveraging technology to enhance accessibility and efficiency in large-scale travel operations.
The Mukh Mantri Tirth Yatra Yojana was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Punjab, Shri Bhagwant Mann, at his constituency in Dhuri, marking the official rollout of the scheme. The program is designed to make spiritual journeys safer, more inclusive, and better coordinated for devotees traveling to the Golden Temple and other significant religious destinations in Amritsar.
EaseMyTrip will execute the Yatra through its specialized pilgrimage vertical, EasyDarshan, which focuses on creating seamless, respectful, and spiritually enriching travel experiences. The company’s advanced travel management systems will support logistics, scheduling, and coordination to ensure an organized and dignified journey for all participants.
