Dimitri Maex, Global President of IPG Mediabrands and Global CEO of Initiative, is stepping down later this year. He will be taking on a new role as the Global Marketing Practice Lead at Accenture Song
At Accenture Song, Maex will be responsible for shaping the brand’s global marketing strategy, including brand, content, engagement, activation, and media offerings—marking a new chapter in his impressive career spanning data, performance, and brand-led marketing.
A seasoned industry leader, Maex previously served as Global CEO of Reprise, where he built a robust performance marketing engine for top global brands. His prior stints also include leading roles at OgilvyOne as U.S. President and at Sentiance as President.
As part of the leadership transition, Stacy DeRiso, currently the US CEO of Initiative, has been named the Global President of Initiative. DeRiso brings a rich track record across marquee agencies including Ogilvy, BBDO, McCann XBC, and most recently PHD, where she served as Chief Client Officer for PHD US before joining Initiative.
Maex’s shift comes at a time when the marketing ecosystem is rapidly evolving, with consultancies and holding companies continuing to blur lines across brand, performance, and tech-driven strategy. His move is being seen as a strong statement from Accenture Song in bolstering its brand and marketing advisory capabilities.
