06 March 2024, Bengaluru: Go Digit General Insurance Limited (Digit Insurance), one of India’s leading digital full stack insurance companies, said its Founder and Chairman Kamesh Goyal won the prestigious EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ Award 2024 (EOY) in Startup Category. The winners were felicitated in an awards ceremony held in New Delhi on 5th March 2025.
The award was given to Mr. Goyal for revolutionizing the insurance sector in India through innovation, customer-centricity, and digital transformation. The award was felicitated by Chief Guest Shri Bhupender Yadav, the Honourable Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
Reading the citation for the Award, Jury Member Shailendra Singh, Managing Director, Peak XV, said,
“The winner (Kamesh) started his enterprise at the age of 50 and turned it into a billion-dollar enterprise within three years and successfully did an IPO in CY 2024. They serve millions of customers today. They are not only profitable but also an integrated technology powerhouse for product design, distribution and customer experience.”
Speaking about the win, Kamesh Goyal, Founder and Chairman, Go Digit General Insurance, said,

Other awardees at EOY 2024
Nithin Kamath, Founder and CEO of Zerodha, was awarded the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ Award 2024 (EOY). KV Kamath, Chairman, Jio Financial Services, was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award and Dr. S Somanath, the former Chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), was conferred the Special Jury Award.
