Dabur India has announced key leadership changes to strengthen its global and domestic growth strategy. The company has named Herjit S. Bhalla as Chief Executive Officer – India Business, effective April 15, 2026. He will report to Mohit Malhotra, who has been elevated to the role of Global CEO.
Bhalla brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in commercial and general management across international markets. Prior to joining Dabur, he held senior roles at Unilever, including Marketing Director in Moscow between 2009 and 2012. He later served as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Board Director at Metro Cash & Carry. In 2018, he joined The Hershey Company, where he led multiple leadership roles including Managing Director – India, VP India & AEMEA, VP Canada & AMEA, and most recently VP Canada & Global Customers.
In a parallel development, Dabur has redesignated Mohit Malhotra as Global Chief Executive Officer effective February 17, 2026. The transition reflects the company’s intent to accelerate its international expansion while continuing to strengthen its India operations.
A management graduate from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Malhotra also holds an Executive Master’s in International Business from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. Since joining Dabur as a Management Trainee in 1994, he has taken on several leadership roles across marketing and sales. He previously served as CEO of Dabur International (Dubai) before becoming CEO – India Business and later CEO of the company in April 2019.
Under his leadership, Dabur has expanded its presence to over 100 countries and strengthened its position as a transnational consumer goods company. Earlier, as business head for MENA and Egypt, he was responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, brand investments, and market expansion.
