JioStar has appointed Bikash Kundu as its new Head of Agency Partnership, effective January 2025. With over 25 years of experience in the media and entertainment industry, Kundu brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. He transitions from Viacom18, where he had a remarkable 17-year career, most recently as Senior Vice President & Head – Revenue for Regional Entertainment.
At Viacom18, Kundu was responsible for the revenue function across 14 regional channels in six languages, including Kannada, Tamil, Marathi, Gujarati, Bangla, and Odia. His leadership extended to driving sales and syndication for the network’s kids’ content as well. Kundu’s career also includes key roles at major organizations such as Sahara One Media, UTV-Disney, Satyam Infoway, India.com, and Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd.
Kundu holds a postgraduate degree in marketing management from the Times School of Marketing and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Delhi University. His extensive experience and industry insights are expected to play a pivotal role in JioStar’s growth and strategic agency partnerships, contributing to the company’s continued success in the evolving media and entertainment sector.
With his proven track record in the broadcasting, digital, print, and advertising industries, Kundu’s appointment marks a significant step forward in JioStar’s efforts to strengthen its position in the market and build impactful partnerships.
