BharatPe has named Himanshu Verma as the head of its point-of-sale (POS) business, reinforcing its focus on strengthening offline payments across India.
In his new role, Verma will lead efforts to increase merchant adoption, enhance distribution networks, and scale BharatPe’s POS and offline payments ecosystem.
With more than two decades of experience, Verma brings expertise in digital payments, channel sales, distribution, and merchant acquisition. Over the course of his career, he has worked with organizations such as Pine Labs, Freecharge, Bharti Airtel, Samsung India, Vodafone, Uninor, and Indepay Networks.
Most recently, at Pine Labs, he served as Senior Director and National Business Head for the Mini Soundbox segment, where he was responsible for its nationwide rollout and growth.
