Atique Kazi has announced his departure from WPP Media, concluding a 13-year journey with the network during which he held several senior leadership roles spanning digital, performance, data, programmatic and commerce functions. Most recently, he served as President – eCommerce, Performance and Digital Products at GroupM, where he played a key role in driving large-scale capability development and product-led growth initiatives across markets.
Kazi shared the update through a LinkedIn post, describing the move as the close of an important professional chapter and signalling his readiness to explore new challenges and opportunities ahead.
Between August 2021 and December 2024, Kazi was based in India as President – eCommerce, Performance and Digital Products at GroupM. Prior to this, he spent over eight years at Xaxis, serving as Vice President – New Business in Singapore from November 2018 to August 2021, and earlier as Managing Director, India, from August 2013 to October 2018.
His earlier career includes close to three years at Yahoo!, where he held leadership roles in planning, sales strategy and account management across EMEA expansion and emerging markets, based in the UK. Before that, he worked with The Economist as Regional Online Manager for the Middle East and Africa in Dubai.
Kazi has also held roles at Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. (The Times of India), JVC – Oasis Enterprises, and began his professional journey at Hutchison Whampoa in Mumbai. His exit marks another senior leadership transition within the global media and marketing ecosystem.
