Apollo Tyres has officially been announced as the new jersey sponsor of the Indian cricket team, stepping in after Dream11’s exit. The landmark deal, valued at ₹579.06 crore, will run until 2027, covering 141 matches – including 121 bilateral fixtures and 20 ICC games.
The sponsorship marks a significant leap in per-match value, with Apollo Tyres committing ₹4.5 crore per bilateral match and ₹1.72 crore for each ICC fixture. This makes it the highest overall bid, surpassing competing offers from Canva (₹544 crore) and JK Tyres (₹477 crore).
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that the bidding process was held on September 16 in the presence of all valid bidders. The deal will come into effect starting with the Women’s ODI World Cup on September 30, 2025.
“The new partnership, secured after a rigorous bidding process, represents a substantial increase in sponsorship value, signifying the immense and growing commercial appeal of Indian cricket,” the BCCI said in an official statement.
The bidding process followed the withdrawal of Dream11, which exited due to the recent legislation banning real-money gaming platforms. Earlier this month, the BCCI had invited Expressions of Interest with strict category exclusions, ruling out brands from gaming, betting, crypto, tobacco, financial services, and certain FMCG sectors.
With this partnership, Apollo Tyres strengthens its brand presence in Indian cricket, aligning with one of the most powerful sports properties globally. The deal reflects both the commercial potential of Indian cricket and Apollo Tyres’ long-term vision to connect with millions of fans worldwide.
