Aparna Ramachandran Appointed EVP & Head Of Network Digital At Zee

Zee Entertainment Enterprises has named Aparna Ramachandran as Executive Vice President and Head of Network Digital – Central. She assumed the role in January 2026 and will be based out of Mumbai.

In her new mandate, Ramachandran will lead the digital vision and content strategy for Zee’s central network portfolio. Her responsibilities include driving original content development, strengthening platform alliances, and shaping the network’s digital-first programming roadmap.

Prior to joining Zee, Ramachandran spent five years at Balaji Telefilms, where she most recently served as Head of Digital Originals. During her tenure, she was responsible for developing and overseeing a slate of shows across leading OTT platforms, several of which featured among Ormax Media’s most-watched digital titles.

Earlier in her career, she held senior creative leadership roles at Viacom18 as Senior Creative Director at Voot, and at Viu, where she led Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu original content initiatives. She has also worked extensively with FremantleMedia, contributing across scripted, reality, and digital-first formats for Indian television.

Ramachandran began her career as a content producer across broadcast and digital platforms, gradually moving into creative leadership roles spanning OTT, television, and short-form content, building a strong reputation for content innovation and audience-focused storytelling.
