Anuradha Mathu Agrawal has been appointed to lead mid-market entertainment ad sales at JioStar.

Dhruv Dhawan, who previously oversaw digital growth for mid-tier and emerging clients, has stepped down from his role.

Agrawal, a seasoned media sales and management professional, has been with JioStar (formerly Disney Star) since 2016 and currently serves as Executive Director. Before this, she was the National Revenue Head at CNN-News18. Her career spans key roles at Turner, NDTV, Bennett Coleman & Co., and India Today Group. Additionally, she co-founded and served as Director at Leomax International.

Dhawan joined Disney+ Hotstar in 2023 as Head of Ads Sales, succeeding Shalini Poddar, who later became Country Director at Apple Services. At Disney Star, he played a pivotal role in driving advertising revenues for Disney+ Hotstar.

Prior to JioStar, Dhawan was the Industry Lead at Google, overseeing CPG and D2C brands, where he managed FMCG business strategies for Google India. His responsibilities included working closely with FMCG players on business, marketing, and product strategies to enhance their digital footprint.

With a nine-year tenure at Google, Dhawan held multiple leadership roles. Before that, he was with Bharti Airtel, managing the P&L for the M2M business in India.
