Ameer Ismail, one of the most respected names in Indian PR and communications, has announced his departure from Lintas Live after an incredible 28-year journey with the MullenLowe Lintas Group. His time at the agency helped shape it into a digital-first powerhouse, blending creativity, content, and strategic thinking across integrated campaigns.
Under his leadership, Lintas Live evolved far beyond traditional PR—embracing a multidisciplinary approach that included influencer marketing, digital content, media strategy, and crisis management. His strategic guidance has been trusted by global brands such as TATA Starbucks, Etihad Airways, Hyatt, Budweiser, Valvoline, and Sony Pictures Networks India.
Since joining the group in 1996, Ameer has played multiple pivotal roles—leading various agency brands, helping establish a joint venture with global agency Golin, and even joining Golin’s global leadership team. In 2018, he also took on the role of Chief Growth Officer for PointNine Lintas while continuing as President of the PR business.
Reflecting on his journey, Ameer said: “I’ve had a dream run at Lintas—benefiting from rich learnings across disciplines and functions. The future of PR and communications is immensely exciting, and emerging technologies like AI will offer an entirely new canvas of opportunities. My next move will embrace these possibilities and build on the experience I’ve gained along the way.”
In addition to his corporate role, Ameer has actively contributed to the academic ecosystem, regularly lecturing at institutions like Symbiosis, XIC, Atlas Skilltech University, and Scranton University in the US. He’s also a member of the SCORE advisory council.
As he turns the page on this incredible chapter, the industry watches with anticipation for what comes next from one of its most respected voices.
