Akila Jayaraman Appointed Head Of Agency Partnerships At Amazon Ads India

Amazon Ads India has announced the appointment of Akila Jayaraman as Head of Agency partnerships. Based in Delhi, Jayaraman will be responsible for strengthening and expanding agency relationships across Amazon’s advertising ecosystem, including media solutions, e-commerce advertising, Amazon DSP, and full-funnel offerings.

In her new role, Jayaraman will work closely with agencies and brands to help them integrate brand-building initiatives with performance-led strategies, using customer insights to drive more effective outcomes.

Before joining Amazon Ads, Jayaraman spent more than four years at JioAds, where she held several senior leadership positions. Her roles included heading go-to-market strategy and marketing, as well as serving as business head for e-commerce advertising. During this period, she worked across a wide range of solutions such as connected TV, retail media, in-store media, digital out-of-home (DOOH), and SMB-focused advertising products.

Her earlier professional journey includes leadership stints at Cheil India, Essence, Madhouse, Comviva Technologies, and Ericsson. Across these roles, she built deep expertise in digital media, performance marketing, consumer insights, and sales strategy. Jayaraman began her career in market research and consulting, laying a strong foundation in data-driven decision-making.

With this appointment, Amazon Ads aims to further empower agencies and advertisers in India to unlock the full potential of its advertising solutions through closer collaboration and insight-led planning.
