Airtel has appointed Rabi Shankar Mishra to the role of Chief Executive Officer – Maharashtra & Goa, strengthening leadership across one of its most strategically important telecom circles. In this position, Mishra will be responsible for steering business strategy, driving sales performance, and accelerating customer growth while enhancing operational efficiency across the region.
Mishra brings extensive leadership experience within Airtel, having most recently served as CEO based in Pune, Maharashtra. Prior to this, he led Airtel’s operations in Guwahati, Assam, where he focused on expanding market presence, strengthening execution capabilities, and building high-performing, cross-functional teams across diverse markets.
Before joining Airtel, Mishra spent over four years at The Hershey Company as Sales Director – India, where he led national sales strategy and managed large sales teams across modern and general trade channels, contributing to sustained revenue growth.
His earlier career includes senior leadership roles at Diageo, Mondelēz International, and Cadbury India Ltd., where he managed regional and national sales portfolios, expanded distribution networks, and executed route-to-market strategies across multiple states. Mishra began his professional journey with PepsiCo India (Frito-Lay Division) and CavinKare, gaining hands-on experience in market development, sales operations, and distributor management—foundations that continue to shape his leadership approach.
