Illustrake has partnered with Zappfresh to design and develop a comprehensive digital ecosystem supporting the brand’s customer experience, internal operations, and last-mile delivery.
As Zappfresh continues to scale in India’s fast-growing fresh meat and seafood segment, the brand identified the need for a unified and robust technology foundation that could support high-frequency orders, operational complexity, and rapid expansion. Illustrake was brought in as a technology and product partner to build this ecosystem from the ground up.
The scope of the engagement included UI and UX design for Zappfresh’s consumer mobile application, website, internal CRM, and delivery partner app. Each interface was designed with role-specific clarity, ensuring ease of use for customers placing orders, operations teams managing workflows, and delivery partners executing last-mile fulfillment.
Alongside design, Illustrake handled the complete development of the mobile app, website, CRM, and delivery partner application. The platforms were custom built to support real-time inventory visibility, order management, delivery coordination, and centralized customer data across systems.
The CRM functions as a central intelligence layer, bringing together order processing, customer insights, and marketing automation into a single platform. The delivery partner app enables real-time task allocation, route visibility, and order status updates, reducing operational friction and improving fulfillment efficiency on the ground.
By integrating customer-facing platforms with backend and delivery systems, the ecosystem allows Zappfresh to operate with greater control, speed, and scalability while maintaining a consistent customer experience.
