Richard Morris Steps Down As IPG Mediabrands’ UK & EMEA Chief Amid Omnicom–IPG Integration

Richard Morris, Chief Executive for the UK and EMEA at IPG Mediabrands, is leaving the newly merged Omnicom–IPG organisation as leadership restructuring continues following Omnicom’s acquisition of Interpublic Group (IPG), according to a UK media report.

His departure comes as the combined global advertising group aligns IPG’s media operations within Omnicom’s larger strategic framework—an ongoing transition that has already led to several high-level leadership changes across regions.

As per report, Eileen Kiernan, CEO of IPG Mediabrands, will step down next year as the network is formally absorbed into Omnicom Media. Her exit was first referenced in an internal memo cited by Adweek.

Morris, who headed IPG Mediabrands’ operations across UM, Initiative and Mediahub, and directed integrated media strategy across EMEA, will exit as part of this post-acquisition restructuring. His departure marks a further step in the consolidation designed to streamline structures and unify capabilities under the expanded Omnicom Media organisation, which now represents one of the largest media networks in the UK and Europe.

A replacement for Morris has yet to be named. The Omnicom–IPG integration—completed in late 2025—continues to reshape leadership roles and operational models across the combined creative and media networks.
