Samsung Ads India has appointed Vignesh V as its new Director – Ad Sales, marking a strategic addition to its leadership team as the company accelerates its Connected TV (CTV) growth in the country. With over 20 years of experience spanning media sales, revenue strategy, product leadership, P&L management, syndication, and strategic partnerships, Vignesh brings deep industry expertise to the organisation.
According to Samsung Ads APAC, Vignesh’s appointment comes at a crucial time as the platform strengthens its advertising ecosystem and expands its CTV presence across India. In his new role, he will focus on enhancing client relationships, driving revenue innovation, and shaping the organisation’s long-term growth in the evolving CTV advertising landscape.
Vignesh joins Samsung Ads from JioStar, where he was Senior Vice President, leading digital and TV ad sales, global syndication, and international distribution for platforms such as JioCinema and Sports18.
Prior to JioStar, he held several senior roles at The Walt Disney Company (Star Sports/Hotstar), where he led cross-screen solutions, strengthened brand partnerships, and managed P&L across major sports verticals. His work spanned sales strategy, GTM planning, and revenue management. Earlier roles include leadership positions at Amazon and the Star TV Network, where he contributed to product strategy and sports portfolio expansion.
Vignesh began his career at NDTV, managing business development and ad sales for the South India market. Over the years, he has helped shape major media brands, built high-performing commercial teams, and led growth strategies across digital and television.
Samsung Ads India stated that Vignesh’s diverse experience across media organisations and platforms will help unlock new revenue streams and strengthen the platform’s value proposition for advertisers as CTV adoption continues to rise nationwide.
