Reliance Industries, through its technology arm Reliance Intelligence, has announced a strategic partnership with Google to fast-track the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across India. The collaboration combines Reliance’s vast digital ecosystem and connectivity network with Google’s advanced AI capabilities, supporting a shared vision of “AI for All”.
This alliance marks a significant step toward democratising AI access for consumers, enterprises, and developers across the country. By integrating Reliance’s scale and ecosystem reach with Google’s AI innovation, both companies aim to build the foundation for an AI-driven digital India.
As part of the partnership, Reliance Intelligence and Google are offering 18 months of complimentary access to Google AI Pro, powered by the Gemini 2.5 Pro model, for eligible Jio users. Valued at ₹35,100 per user, the package includes image and video generation tools, Notebook LM access, and 2 TB of cloud storage.
The rollout has begun with Jio’s 18–25-year-old users on unlimited 5G plans and will expand nationwide soon, enabling millions to explore and create with AI.
In addition, Reliance Intelligence has collaborated with Google Cloud to enhance access to AI hardware accelerators, including Tensor Processing Units (TPUs). This initiative aims to empower Indian organisations to train and deploy large-scale AI models, fortify India’s compute infrastructure, and support the nation’s vision of becoming a global AI powerhouse.
Furthering its enterprise initiatives, Reliance Intelligence has become a strategic go-to-market partner for Google Cloud to drive the adoption of Gemini Enterprise in India. The platform enables businesses to develop and deploy agentic AI tools across workflows. Reliance Intelligence is also building pre-trained enterprise AI agents to help organisations accelerate innovation and productivity.
Mukesh D. Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Industries, said:
“Reliance Intelligence aims to make intelligence services accessible to 1.45 billion Indians. Through our collaboration with strategic and long-term partners like Google, we aim to make India not just AI-enabled but AI-empowered – where every citizen and enterprise can harness intelligent tools to create, innovate and grow.”
Sundar Pichai, CEO, Google and Alphabet, added:
“Reliance is a longstanding partner in Google’s goal of advancing India’s digital future – together we’ve brought affordable internet access and smartphones to millions. Now, we are bringing this collaboration into the AI era. Today’s announcement will put Google’s cutting-edge AI tools in the hands of consumers, businesses, and India’s vibrant developer community. I’m excited for how this partnership will help expand access to AI across India.”
