National, Oct 2025 – For generations, blue has been more than just a colour; it has been the heartbeat of Indian cricket pride. Asian Paints’ iconic Mera Wala Blue first gave this spirit a voice, and now, the story evolves with Meri Wali Blue—a heartfelt celebration of India’s women cricketers and the families who support them from home.
The campaign film draws from Asian Paints’ powerful brand insight of Har Ghar Blue. It beautifully portrays how cricket may be played on the pitch, but its true essence lives in Indian homes—in the cheers, emotions, and unifying energy of families rooting for the game together.
The film follows the journey of a jersey in blue—from the shade and fabric carefully chosen and stitched by a tailor, to balconies where it dries in the sun, to being ironed and finally places on display at a shop. At the shop, a young girl spots the jersey and excitedly says, “Meri wali blue,” pointing to the one with Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur’s number on it. The film ends with a simple message – India cheers for India Wala Blue. Conceptualized by FCB Kinnect and brought to life by Good Morning Films, the campaign is an ode to India’s evergreen fandom for the sport.

This is the spirit that has been central to Asian Paints’ journey with cricket through the year. From the intelligent on-ground integration of SmartCare Damp Proof in the India Vs Eng series at Old Trafford, to the first-of-its-kind countdown innovation with the warranty narrative at the Asia Cup, where the brand became the first in the paints and décor space to partner with a cricket series across on-ground, TV, and digital platforms—Asian Paints has set a milestone for the category. This association also gave fans an opportunity to cheer for Team India through the Har Ghar Blue TV Contest where they could share their #HarGharBlue selfies for a chance to be featured on the Extraaa Innings T20 show. With this Asian Paints takes the passion forward into women’s cricket, celebrating the growing love and recognition for the sport and the women who continue to inspire a new generation of fans.
At its heart is a special tribute to Harmanpreet Kaur, captain of the Indian team, whose jersey number weaves seamlessly into the story as a symbol of pride, inspiration, and the dreams of millions. With one main film and four shorter edits, the series captures a simple yet stirring message—every home in India is cheering for its women cricketers.
Amit Syngle, MD & CEO, Asian Paints Ltd., said,
“Cricket in India is more than just a game. It’s a part of everyday life, something that brings families, friends and neighbours together. At Asian Paints, we have been privileged to capture this sentiment through our campaigns. With Meri Wali Blue, we are proud to extend that spirit to India’s women cricketers, who are inspiring millions with their talent, grit, and determination. This film is our tribute to them, and to every home in the country that will be cheering for them. As the love for women’s cricket grows, it marks not just a sporting milestone, but a moment for all of us to come together and celebrate what the game truly means.”
Rohan Mehta, CEO, FCB Kinnect, expressed,
“There’s something powerful about building on an idea that has shaped culture and giving it fresh relevance for today. What makes ‘Meri Wali Blue’ powerful is that with just a single word, it carries hope, determination, and belief for generations of women athletes to come.”
Yogesh Mani Pradhan, Group Executive Creative Director, FCB Kinnect, added,
“Indian cricket is as much about the viewers at home as the players on the field. ‘Meri Wali Blue’ transforms the nostalgia of a legacy ad, into a rallying cry for today, celebrating the women who are shaping India’s cricketing story. It’s the kind of simplicity that moves culture forward.”
