Swiggy Brings Durga Puja Celebrations To Its App With ShresthoPujo 2.0, Interactive Voting, And Gamified Festive Experiences

National, September 29, 2025: Swiggy (Swiggy Ltd, NSE: SWIGGY / BSE: 544285), India’s leading on-demand convenience platform, has launched a suite of interactive campaigns on the Swiggy app this Durga Puja, blending culture, technology, and gamification to bring festive celebrations to the users’ fingertips.

The centrepiece of the initiative is ShresthoPujo 2.0, an engagement-driven contest that allows users in Kolkata to vote for their favourite pandal on the Swiggy app. Each pandal’s profile highlights its history, rituals, and idols through photos and curated details, thereby ensuring users—especially seniors and those unable to pandal-hop physically—experience the cultural richness virtually. BigFM is the official Radio Partner for this initiative, amplifying the contest’s reach and the winning pandals will be felicitated at a grand prize distribution ceremony on October 2 in Kolkata, with cash prizes up to INR 8 lakhs up for grabs.

Adding another layer of delight, Swiggy has introduced Pujo’r Megastar, a gamified in-app journey where users can complete daily festive-themed activities such as ordering food, voting for pandals, and playing a Pujo quiz and unlock exclusive rewards including Swiggy One Black memberships, MakeMyTrip coupons, and ITC Hotel vouchers. This gamified app journey has been designed to ensure Durga Puja celebrations extend beyond food delivery to holistic festive experiences.

Swiggy has also partnered with seven of Kolkata’s most prominent pandals to bring devotees closer to the celebrations with a unique Bhog Box. Available at a token price of just INR 21, there are 6,000 Boxes that have been curated with flowers from puja rituals, sindoor, an earthy idol of Ma Durga and signature dishes from the pandals, such as Aloo Bhaja, Labra Curry, Kichuri, Luchi, Polao, Payes, among others.

With these initiatives, Swiggy continues to position itself as more than a delivery app—emerging as a cultural companion that reimagines consumer engagement during India’s most celebrated festivals.
