Snapchat Launches ‘Creator Connect’ to Empower India’s Digital Storytellers

Snapchat has introduced Snapchat Creator Connect, a multi-city initiative designed to support India’s thriving creator economy. This program will provide mentorship, growth opportunities, and engagement tools to help Gen Z creators and digital storytellers build sustainable careers on the platform.

As part of its expansion in India, Snapchat is strengthening its commitment to creators through new programs and partnerships. The company will collaborate with local creator agencies to nurture regional talent, offering resources for both growth and monetization.

Education and mentorship are key aspects of this initiative. Programs like Snap School aim to help creators refine their storytelling skills and make the most of Snapchat’s tools, while Savvy on Snap provides consulting support to enhance pop culture content. Additionally, Snapchat’s revenue-sharing and rewards programs will empower creators to build sustainable careers while engaging their audiences.

The initiative launched in Hyderabad, a major content and media hub.

Saket Jha Saurabh, Director of Content and AR Partnerships at Snap Inc., highlighted the significance of this initiative, stating,

“India is undergoing a paradigm shift with Gen Z taking centre stage as Creators and Consumers. Whether it’s the power of visual storytelling and catching trends, the importance of the inner circle of friends and family or the need to be truly authentic, Snapchat has been at the heart of this shift. Creator Connect is one of the ways we will engage Creators leading this change in pop culture. We are excited to meet them across the length and breadth of India.”

By partnering with creator agencies, media companies, music labels, and film studios, Snapchat is ensuring regional voices gain global recognition.

The Hyderabad edition of Creator Connect brought together creators, publishers, and industry leaders to discuss creativity, growth, and the future of digital storytelling. A highlight of the event was the Snapchat debut of Telugu film star Natural Star Nani, bridging mainstream cinema with Gen Z’s digital culture.

Following its successful launch in Hyderabad, Chandigarh has been confirmed as the next stop for Creator Connect. With over 200 million monthly active users in India, Snapchat continues to expand its presence, supporting regional creators and fostering a dynamic creator economy.
