JioGames onboards Sidharth Kedia as Senior Vice President and Head
Sidharth Kedia has joined Jio Platform Limited (JPL) as Senior Vice President and Head of Jio Games. He is back with the RIL group after almost ten years. From November 2019 to October 2023, he served as Chief Executive Officer for NODWIN Gaming. Kedia held the positions of EVP and Head of Strategy, M&A, Data Science, and ESports from May 2017 to November 2019. Kedia spent two years as CEO of Network18’s Corporate Strategy and Digital (Non-News) divisions.

It is important to remember that he left Reliance after his first stint there in 2019 and joined NODWIN Gaming, while listed gaming behemoth Nazara acquired the majority of the former in 2018. During his tenure, NODWIN Gaming expanded to become one of the top esports organizations in the nation, branching out into genres other than just competitions.
Given the appointment, JioGames may now actively promote its fresh initiatives in the market. Jio’s gaming division, led by Mukesh Ambani, intends to cater to both game developers and players.

Jio’s partnership with Gamestream
Notably, Jio and Gamestream, a French cloud gaming services company whose partners also include Ubisoft, signed a 10-year strategic partnership last year. At the time, Jio had stated that the partnership would help it expand its cloud gaming platform JioGamesCloud. Gamestream provides white-labeling cloud gaming solutions.
JioGamesCloud is a cloud gaming platform with a huge library of games that appeal to different age groups, genres, and categories. These games range from AAA titles to hyper-casual games. Users only need to connect to the internet to access JioGamesCloud, which allows them to play smoothly on PCs, mobile devices, TVs, and web browsers.

Jio Platforms Launches Jio Brain, an AI and ML Platform for Enterprises
